Vettel claims third win of season
ISTANBUL: Sebestian Vettel, the baby faced assassin, proved beyond a doubt that he is here to stay. This young world champion has shown that his young but intelligent mind complements his driving skills.
Obviously unfazed by his stunt during FP1 he simply blew away the competition that included his hard charging mate Webber and was never troubled by the resurgent Alonso who drove a brilliant race to come in 3rd.
1x1 polls
Ferrari must be relieved that they are back in business as there race pace was very strong. Team McLaren Mercedes must be a worried lot as there plans to attack were put paid by Ferrari even.
The racing was intense at the top while Michael Schumacher yo-yoed up and down the ladder board. His aggression remains but somehow it is being diluted by frustration it would appear. The rumble and tumble style of driving doesn't suit him but it was seen that he still loves a good fight. But he did provide
His team mate Nico Rosberg started exactly as he had said he would by launching himself behind pole setter Vettel, leaving Webber struggling with traction on the dirty (unused) side of the track. Eventually, he couldn't sustain the pace and finished a fine 5th. His race craft was in full view today as he battled with the best and wouldn't cave in meekly.
Hamilton just couldn't get in to the melee and late charge was futile as by then the RBR's and Ferrari had disappeared into the distance. His team mate Button finished behind Rosberg. Hence, it's a disappointing day for Mclaren as now they also have to worry about the Mercedes to boot. The tough anticlockwise circuit did send most drivers in to the pits 4 times during the 58 laps.
The decision to stay out for even an extra lap on the Pirellis is no more a luxury. When they give way the car is simply not drivable.

Red Bull Racing got it right in every department and with some clever thinking reigned in Alonso who until the last few laps was looking good for a strong 2nd place. The other drivers who are looking good are Petrov, Buemi and Kobayashi. Given good equipment they can certainly hold their own.
Force India were strong midfield contenders with Adrian Sutil finishing 13th but out of the points. Paul Di Resta incurred a drive through penalty and subsequently retired when he had a technical glitch while serving it. However, Force India is confident as to the direction it's heading and are confident that when they implement the new aero package in Spain they would be able to put it past Torro Rosso and Sauber to close in on their target of 6th in the constructors championship.
Karthikeyan must be a relieved man now that his HRT is picking up momentum and becoming reliable. Although he is very happy with the Cosworth drive train the important aero package is yet to deliver. HRT has tied up with Mercedes to use their wind tunnel facility and this should speed up matters.
If rumours floating around are to be believed then this may have been the last ever Turkish Grand Prix.
